What changed at PSA in 2026
On June 2, PSA paused all four Value tiers, which had been the cheap way to grade modern cards. For three months the cheapest option was Regular at $79.99. On September 14, PSA opened Standard at $59.99 for cards worth up to $1,000, and renamed Regular to Priority.
Standard is slower: PSA quotes 90 to 100 business days, against 70 to 80 for Priority. If you aren't in a hurry, it saves $20 a card.
How the tier is chosen
Every tier has a value cap. You pick a tier by the card's value after grading, not what you paid. A card that comes back a PSA 10 worth $1,400 needs Priority, even if it was a $200 raw card. If the grader values it above your tier's cap, they upcharge you to the right tier.
Shipping and insurance
PSA charges $19.99 to return one to four cards in the US. Getting cards to PSA safely, with tracking and insurance, adds about $8 for a small order. We use $22 a card in every calculation on this site. Large orders spread that over more cards.
Europe
PSA opened in Frankfurt on September 15, 2026. Prices are in euros and the two cheapest tiers have introductory prices. CGC grades in Munich; its prices below include the 19% VAT that private submitters pay.

Is grading worth it for your card?
The fee is only half the question. A grade is worth paying for when the slab sells for more than the raw card plus the fee, shipping and the risk of a lower grade. Run the numbers in the grading calculator, or photograph the card and we'll do it with its real prices.
Prices checked against the graders' own pages on October 24, 2026. Graders change prices often; check theirs before you send cards.
